Keith A. Wilson

August 14, 1968 - December 12, 2022

Keith A. Wilson, age 54 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Seasons Hospice in Naperville, IL after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 14, 1968 in Sandwich, IL the son of Henry and Patricia (Raguse) Wilson. Keith was united in marriage to the former Rachael Jones on June 10, 2006.

Keith is a 1986 graduate of Yorkville High School and graduated with a degree in Law in Enforcement from Western Illinois University. Mr. Wilson proudly served for over 20 years as a Police Officer with the Oswego Police Department in Oswego, IL until his retirement in July of 2017. Keith first served as a patrol officer for several years before moving into the traffic unit. He later became a school resource officer and enjoyed developing relationships with students, staff and community members. After his retirement he went on to work for V&O Services as a Director of Project Development.

While growing up, Keith attended the First Baptist church in Plano, IL. As of late, he attended Harvest New Beginnings in Oswego, IL. Keith will be remembered as a true music and sports enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Keith is survived by his wife, Rachael Wilson of Yorkville, IL; his daughter, Aubrey Catherine Wilson of Yorkville, IL; his mother, Patricia Wilson of Sandwich, IL; his sisters, Amy (Douglas) Collins of Sandwich, IL, Nancy Wilson-Hewlett of Yorkville, IL, and Patricia Dormer of Somonauk, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Wilson; as well as uncles, Carl Raguse and Scott Raguse.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL with Pastor Terry Jensen officiating. Entombment will follow in Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
