Keith was one of my very best friends. There wasn't anything we couldn't talk about and know the conversation would not leave the room. Many many days we would get off work and get together just to go over the day. Keith gave me so much good advice, while working with him at NICI so many years. To this day I tell him how much I miss him, and you are right, his family meant everything to him. Thank-you all for putting up this post. Mary (Strang) Duman.
I worked with Keith at I.C.I.O. in Orofino. Then a few years he tried to come back, but I.C.I.O, would not put him back on. Keith was a very good officer there. One day I was talking to a Sgt. from N.I.C.I. ( Cottonwood ) he told me that they were looking for officers. I told him about Keith, He told me to have Keith call him. I bumped into Kith in town after work, and gave him the message>
I really enjoyed spending time with this dude and the family. I must have slept over at the Reeds house over 200 times through the years. Always felt like I was at home when I was with them. My favorite thing about Keith is he would hide a 12 pack of milwaukee beast in the oven to make sure we could all have a warm beer in the morning.
I send all my love to Keith's family and the extended IDOC families. I still regard him as one of the best Supervisors I have ever worked for in my now, 28 year career. He continued to be a guiding light to me after his retirement and I will forever be thankful for the memories and the good times (and scary) we shared together. God rest his soul.
