I never took a single formal lesson from Keith, but I feel like I learned so much anyway. He was always available to chat about music, or life, or anything really. He’ll be missed.
Keith will live on in the countless students and young people he instilled the gifts of music, acceptance, and self confidence. He was one of the few who truly loved what he did, and everyone he shared his time with.
Keith and I used to go to the store every week so he could get some groceries. He always got some whisky of course. So when they asked him for a birthdate he would say 6/16/2001 and they would look and him in confusion. Which he would respond to with “yea covid was hard on all of us”. Seeing him was always the highlight of my week and I know it was his too.
