Keith's obituary

Keith Bryce McCaulley, of Ames, Iowa, passed away on April 5th, 2025, of natural causes. Born and raised in the Saylorville area of Des Moines, Iowa, Keith was the youngest of five children, growing up alongside his sisters Linda and Nancy and brothers Benny and Roger. Keith is survived by his nephews and niece Phillip, Andrew, John, Robert, and Melanie; and many friends and students who loved him dearly.

Keith’s passion for music emerged early in his life, and he pursued that calling with dedication and enthusiasm. He earned his degree in Music from Grand View University, later complementing his education with a degree from DMACC, which supported his work with Mainstream Living.

Keith’s love for music was more than a personal passion—it was a gift he shared with the world. He dedicated his life to teaching music lessons, inspiring countless students not only as a teacher but as a mentor and friend. To those he taught, Keith was more than an instructor; he was a source of encouragement and a symbol of unwavering kindness.

Keith spent many years attending college, continually expanding his knowledge and skills. He faced life’s challenges with courage and resilience. His love for learning and his ability to connect with others created a ripple effect of positivity that touched everyone who knew him.

Keith’s legacy is one of music, kindness, and friendship. He had a unique ability to bring people together, inspire creativity, and leave a lasting impact on the lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, students, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
