Keith was a kind and loving soul who lived his life with passion.  He will be long remembered for his love of teaching and for truly caring for his students.  Keith definitely helped make this world a better place and he will be missed.

My wife and I knew Keith played guitar and gave lessons, but we hadn't seen him perform until an Ames Music Walk event a couple years ago.  He played while his student Tayea sang, and we sat close by and loved how he played.  It was the only time we heard him play in person.  He gifted us a copy of his CD, The Flaming Guitar, and we're grateful to have that.
Keith taught me as a young child experimenting guitar… although most of our lessons consisted of us debating the happenings of “The Walking Dead” tv show. None the less, he left an impact as a mentor to a young man. Kindness like his has showed me how to act and be. I still play guitar today. If I never met Keith, I don’t believe I would appreciate music and simple kindness in the same way.
I will miss Keith tremendously.  We had lessons every Thursday for about 2 years. He was quick with a joke or a story. He always made me feel like a rock star even though I wasn't the best guitar player. I loved him as a person, teacher, and friend! You will be missed dear friend.

Keith was a great drinking buddy.

But you could also call him up when you are in a piintch.

My cow T-Bone was going to have a troubled birrth, I was in for a long night.

Keith came to my rescue, a Texas fith of whiskey in hand.

T-Bone birthed in the creek, Keith and I carried the slimey calf up the hill, safe from drowning.

The sun was rising when we finally got  mama up to lich off her boy

Keith got the honor to name the baby bull.......... Jack Daniels.

What a wonderful guitar teach…
What a wonderful guitar teacher and dear human. I will miss his humor, kindness and friendship. My family was so lucky to know him and the guitar lesson memories we all hold are treasured. ❤️🫂
