As Megan’s school principal at Le Lycée I can tell you firsthand that Megan was the apple of her mother’s eye. Megan, your mother was immensely proud of you and such love never dies. I am sending you my deepest condolences for your loss but assure you of our friendship and support.

Sometime after Megan was born Katie brought to Knoxville bags full of clothes. In her generous nature she gave some to me. The catch was I had to model the clothes for Katie and Mimi. I tried on numerous outfits! Katie had some hip hugging pants...several! Therese and Katie would try this on! Finally Katie said "Ann you will have to give up your grandma panties if you are ever going to wear these clothes! Always generous, honest with a get head for fashion. I wore a "Katie outfit" today!

One night in probably 1991 Katie and I were babysitting Jordi and Ross at Terri and Jordan’s purple house in Galveston. The most popular book at the time was Bridges of Madison County. We read the book out loud which took several hours late into the night. That was the night I witnessed that Katie could indeed eat an entire bag of Heath Bar Nabisco cookies. 😘
