Kathy and I worked together for over 25 years at the City of Fort Worth.  She was an excellent water treatment operator who did her job well and took pride in her work. She represented the City well in competitions. Kathy was proud of her long and successful career.  Oh what a fun, carefree personality she had. We shared a million laughs! So many words describe her . . . goofy, thoughtful, contemplative, loyal and caring — all in all a good friend. I remember milestones in her life like the great sorrow of losing her Mom and the great joy of connecting with Lauren and being a Grandmother. I still have and use the spoon rest she brought me many years ago from Washington state. I will always be thankful to have known Kathy. My heart is sad that she’s gone, but she will live on in all our sweet memories. RIP Kathy, you were one of a kind! ❤️

Kathy had the kindest heart of anyone I have ever known. If one ever needed her help she would drop everything and be there right away without fail or judgement.  My friend of 37 years will be missed more than words can say.
My mom, Kathy, gave me up at birth for adoption because she wanted me to have a better life than she believed she could provide. On September 6th, 2002, we finally met and ever since then she proudly told that story to almost everyone she met. She was so optimistic and would tell everyone that she never thought if she met me again, but when we met again. Since meeting her when I was 19, she's been such a great support and I grew close to her and she became the Mom I needed in my adulthood, seeing me through many trying times. She was an excellent mother and even greater grandmother to my three children.
