My condolences to Kathy's family and the entire Cibaria family she pioneered and spearheaded. I first met Kathy when I was just beginning my small business. She and Karen were open, fun (that smile!), generous, and very supported for all of us who were excited to find such kind people in a tough industry. It was always a joy seeing her at the Fancy Food Shows throughout the years. She sparkled. Thirteen years later, I still order from Cibaria and remember that first meeting in their headquarters so fondly and gratefully.

Kathy was one of my first clients when I started in Foodservice brokerage 30 years ago. I'm glad I was able to sit down with her and Pam last year and chat. I will always remember her as a woman of great integrity, honesty and kindness. Loosing her as a business ally, a friend and a person that I looked up to is tough. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those she touched, from her family onwards, and I know that's a large number of people. She was a true icon in our business and more importantly, she was great human being.

Learning today of the news of the passing of Kathy broke my heart. We became friends through the world of insurance, and we worked together for 20 plus years. I loved being her agent; that meant we got to meet a couple times a year; have some good food (yes, we would discuss some insurance) but we could and would talk about everything else that life presented our way. Besides her being incredibly giving, especially as a single woman who adopted her children; she was an incredibly smart and a successful businesswoman, she was fun, and stylish (that is for sure) and always with a smile on her face! I looked up to her and all she accomplished in her life, and she will forever remain in my heart as not only one of my favorite client and friends, but as a human, with one of the HUGEST HEARTS! Love you my sweet Kathy!
