Kathleen's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Griset—a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loving sister, respected boss, and trailblazing entrepreneur—on July 21, 2025. Over her 75 years she exemplified the virtues of love, selflessness, kindness, and optimism.
Surviving her are her adopted children Autumn, Josh, and Christian (Daniel). Comfort can be taken in the knowledge that her enduring spirit and life lessons will forever remain a part of everyone whose life she touched. She profoundly believed in the power of positive thinking, self-sufficiency, and doing what's right. She stressed the importance of seeing the best in others and having kindness towards oneself—reminders that so many she touched will carry forward in their everyday lives.
Kathy's accomplishments extend far and wide. Among them, the most significant remains the remarkable impact she had on her children and those around her at Cibaria International. When people speak of her, the most common things you'll hear are "she has the biggest heart" and "she saved my life". She truly was a beacon of inspiration to everyone who crossed her path.
She leaves behind a legacy rich in hard work and self-sacrifice for the greater good. She single-handedly raised three children while building Cibaria from the ground up. When she saw someone in need, she went the extra mile to offer a loving, helping hand. The size of her heart was truly beyond compare.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 10, 2025, with the location to be finalized. Together, we will commemorate her life and honor the enormous impact she had on others. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched and in the lessons she left behind.
