KB was one of the most vibrant people I've known. She was always generous and supportive of me during challenging times. I'm holding onto the memory of the beautiful smile and big hug she gave me a few weeks ago.  My heart goes out to you, Doren.
What sad news - my heart goes out to Doren and family. I loved working with KB and Doren doing the Mainly Mozart school shows. You two created something so special and joyful in those shows. What a bright light she was. I'm so sorry.
KB was such a talented and powerful force, and her passion and energy was enviable.  Much love to Doren and family.  May her memory serve as a blessing to all who knew her.

KB, you will be dearly missed for the fire in your soul, and the tenderness in your heart. I loved that you were never timid about sharing what was on your mind. You inspired me. My love to the family. Such a tough loss.

When Covid hit, KB reached out to me. She knew I was a nurse and the hospital was running out of masks. She made over 75 masks complete with furnace filters for me to take to work. That’s how she was, saw an issue and did everything she could do to help.

It’s been10 months since I saw her. But I do remember that last time. She gave me the most amazing hug!  I’ll always smile when I think of her. Her laugh, her smile, and her wit.

I’m so very sorry she was one of a kind ! I had the wonderful experience of knowing her at college of Marin and saw her unique talent back then ! My more recent memory was KB and Doren staying with us in Costa Rica and us reestablishing our friendship in the jungle and having a blast seeing them fall in love with the country! Also I loved our texts about politics and her wonderful passion about her causes !

She will be sorely missed!

That wonderful smile!

We will carry on her work, knowing her energy is still with us.

I will miss KB so very much. She was a guiding light in my life, and sought me out when she knew I was struggling. I so wish I could've been there for her this time, in return. I would've done anything for her!! This has broken me! Love to you KB!! I hope you've found the peace you were seeking.

KB was convinced she could make me beautiful. Loved her dearly, but she failed miserably here. LOL — with K.B. and Jim Beaubeaux

Dear Doren,

It saddens me to hear about this tremendous loss.  I wish you all the space and time you need to cope .  Please know your family is praying for your well being and strength.

Your cousin,

Lisa

I have no words, but having lost my own sister to suicide, I understand the pain and confusion you are experiencing, so I will share the words of a dear friend, Mark Nepo, who is a poet, and philosopher: One of the great truths in this life is that if we know love, we will know loss. The more we love, the more the loss will hurt. Yet, if we don’t love, what’s the point in being here? When we can courageously love with all our heart, the reward is that through that love we will know depths in our heart and being otherwise inaccessible. What a gift. Still, things will never be the same. And who or what we have loved so deeply and lost will continue to be our teacher through our grief as our heart is rearranged yet again. I think that when someone or something we love dies, we who love them are drawn to the other side. In fact, grief is how we straddle for a time between life and death, a time that can’t be measured in hours or days, a time in which the deeper truths come in like a wind through the breaks in our heart.  Take care Doren, you will be in my heart.
To Doren and KB's family, we will all miss her fiercely just as she lived. Please accept the love of all her community as we grieve together. I will miss her strong desire to be helpful, inclusive across the political spectrum as we worked together to address climate change.
I will miss her so much and cherish the many laughs, discussions and kindnesses that she gave to me and to so many. I loved her. Eliza
How deeply sad. All of our love to Doren and the whole family. I am relieved that you have each other as you move through this unbearable time. So much love to you all.
So sad to hear. Sending condolences to Doren and KB's family. Only positive memories and thoughts of KB.  Let be.
Shared a heart Red heart
