I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of your mother, Karen Jakabcin . Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
I remember Karen as extremely professional and sincere towards her work. She was a good mentor and always helped me when I joined the team as a new recruit. Karen's absence will be felt by all of us.
I cannot imagine the pain you and your family are going through right now. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Once again, my deepest sympathies for your loss.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Karen at Microchip since 2015 and to say she’s a “hard worker” is an understatement. As her boss, I had to remind her to use up her vacation days since she’s max out and can’t accrue anymore hours. Sometimes she would take her “vacation days” and just work. She had the best investigation skills and was able to retain years and years of what we call at work “tribal knowledge”. I often told her that she can practically solve any problem that comes her way.
There were days in the office where we sit and talk for hours! And not only about work, but just about anything. It’s funny because she knew it. Sometimes we get carried away and she would even mention to me “watch the time!” I told her that she would be great company during story time around a campfire. But through these conversations I learned about what a big heart she had, she would cook to feed communities in need during the holidays.
And Karen was a great cook! She had cooked some gourmet meals for my family a few times. She had the food in containers with printed out instructions to mix in the garnishes and heating times and temperatures.
I am going to miss our long office conversations and her home cooking. She will forever be in my heart and my memories. May she rest in paradise.

Hi Brittany,
I had the pleasure of working with Karen at Microchip. As you mentioned, she was a very hard worker. I'm in sales and I always felt confident in tricky client situations when Karen was involved. She was always prepared! Most importantly, I enjoyed getting to know her on a personal level. I'll missed our frequent "sanity check" sessions! She'll be greatly missed.
So sorry for your loss,
Jon Rodman

I was Karen's hairdresser for 40 years. She was always much more than a client. She was my friend. Shared our kids, troubles, jobs. I will miss her very much. Love you sweetie
