Julian "JJ" Jones grew up share cropping with his dad Cooter Jones, mom Lottie Mae, and six siblings in Hopeulikit, Georgia. Later in life he found himself in Gaston, South Carolina, where he ran the Texaco for 28 years. He was known in Gaston for his ice cold Coca-Colas, 25 cent grab bags of candy, hot boiled peanuts, and gently used tires. JJ was also known for his generous soul by having numerous BBQ benefits …
