Met Judy and Lloyd in Jul/73 at Darwin P’s place where I was living. Having dinner with her and Ian and the other John Willson in Dec/21 she asked if knew Brian Z. I was stunned as I was stationed with him in Stony Plain 48 years earlier (RCMP). We were close friends.  When I questioned her how she knew Brian she replied she and Brian’s wife Margarita had been best friends since childhood. I knew both of them for 48 yrs but did not know they knew each other. She reunited Brian and I after 30 plus years. Brian and I now text a few times per week since that time. We will all miss such a special lady.

PS There is an ‘L’  of a difference between John Wilson and John Willson.

I first met Judy in 1975. She was one of those rare people you meet who make life better. She was a mentally strong person who helped many people including her family, my family, her community, her city, our province and many others. She was there and listened. She was never shy to engage in political discussions especially if it related to agriculture and our province. She constantly separated discussion points from right and wrong versus expediency. We are better for having had her in our life. In my case, fatter from the great New Year’s Trivial Pursuit games (Reid would always win) with the related nibblies.  She will be missed, and her remembrance is a blessing.
