I am so sorry to hear this. Joy was my social worker when I was younger. She was the only woman in my younger days that never gave up on me. As an adult she came to my wedding and the adoption of my daughter. RIP beautiful lady! You will be greatly missed!
I had the joy of working with Joy as a social worker at Carver County.  She was my supervisor & I appreciated her thoughtful, kind, wisdom. We retired on the exact same day from the county.  We kept in touch for a time after retiring - she introduced me to Panera Bread !  She also surprised me with a photo album of me at work at the county and brought it to my home.  Fun & totally unexpected !  Joy quietly spread joy to us.  May she rest in eternal peace .

Joy had a wonderful heart! She was my supervisor and my friend. She recently celebrated with me at my retirement party and her love and compassion shone through. Joy left a legacy of love ,caring and compassion for others

Rest in perfect peace my friend!

I am so sad to learn of Joy’s passing. I was blessed to see her a few weeks ago and shared a few hugs and some laughs. Joy’s warmth was ever present. Heaven will be amazing for Joy. Rest in peace.

Jennifer, Brock, Brenna,

What a beautiful loving tribute to Joy❤️

Bing and I are heartbroken at losing her. We have so many wonderful memories of our Navy days together.  One especially touching memory is when Joy and Jennifer visited us in Denver on their way to Japan. Jennifer so loved our dog, Maudie, that after they departed, Maudie would chew our split rail fence trying to get out when we weren’t home.  So many treasured memories that will live in our hearts all the days of our lives.   We will forever remember the tremendous love Joy held for all of you.

Joy and I go back to working at Carver County as social workers and then her joining The Jonas Center in 2013. Her presence here has always been gracious, caring, kind, compassionate, professional. Often she would go "the extra mile" for her clients, being available to them and meeting them whenever and wherever she could. Her clients felt understood and loved by her. During our consultations, she and I would always take a little time to talk about the challenges of getting older, laugh about the "silly" things of aging and remember the things we are grateful for.  Her gentle, calm presence will certainly be missed at The Jonas Center.
