Joe's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Joseph "Joe" Warlow on October 31, 2024. Born on April 25, 1952, Joe led a fulfilling life full of determination, passion, and love. His outgoing spirit and compassion for those around him will be profoundly missed.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Melanie Warlow, his cherished daughter Michelle Govers, his loving brother John Warlow, his adoring grandchildren Madison, Cameron and Vincent Govers, his respected son-in-law, Christopher Govers; as well as multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Susan Schafstall, and his brother, George “Jim” Warlow.
Throughout his life, Joe always sought out new challenges. A proud alumnus, he earned his BA in Earth Science from Millersville, PA in 1975, followed by his MS in Geology/Earth Science from Ohio State University in 1978. Joe spent 30+ years in his career in Clinical Research, working as a Director of Clinical Data Management before happily retiring in 2017. His academic achievements only scratched the surface of Joe's accomplishments. He was a passionate athlete who completed multiple marathons and triathlons, including two Ironman distance events. A steadfast fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he never missed a game and his love for sports truly knew no bounds.
A celebration of Joe's life will take place on November 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM at The Warlow Wranch, 11210 Valle Vista Ct, Auburn, CA. All those who knew and loved Joe are welcome to attend and share their memories of him.

Joe's spirit, drive, and love for life made him a force to be reckoned with. He lived his life to the fullest, and his memory will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, passion, and determination lives on in his family and all those whose lives he touched.
