So sorry for your loss Melanie. You and your families are in my thoughts during this difficult time. I did not know Joe well but I could tell that he was a kind and gentle soul by the way he treated me, as a one time guest in your home, and the other people and animals that I saw him interact with.

Joe was so well liked at Millersville and in Wickers because he was Joe. His humor, perspectives, responses were authentic. He could make you laugh, think about what was going on, or listen. Reconnecting with him about 2 years ago showed me he stayed true to himself. A friend and good person who I know will be missed by many.

Dennis and I went to Williams Valley highschool with Joe. He was a great guy and good friend. We hoped we would get to see him at one of our class reunions. I connected with Joe when our football team was recognized at the 50th anniversary of winning a championship our senior year. I was able to have Joe join via video so he could be part of it. I didn’t realize he was a director of Data Management! I held the same position working at Merck for 32 years and then for a CRO for 3 more years, we could have had great conversations! I’m so saddened by his death and the loss of your family’s loved one.
