Joseph Rawls Jr. age 93 of Hillside, N.J., passed away on March 9th, 2022 after suffering from septic shock. Joseph was born on September 26, 1928 to Joseph Rawls Sr. and Sarah Johnson in Newark, N.J. After leaving Central high school. He landed several jobs before enlistng in the U.S. Army in Janurary 1946, serving as a tank mechanic. He served 18mos, and was honorabley discharged on July 1947. Celebration Of Life for Joseph Rawls Jr. will be held at Perrys funeral home in Newark, New Jersey on March 17th. The viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 and the service will be from 10:00 to 11:00. His final resting place will be at Eastridge Lawn cemetary in Clifton N.J.
