Joseph Robert Healey passed peacefully at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA on January 15, 2022. He was 74. Joseph was born and grew up in the north end of East Hartford. He made his home in Orange County, CA. He graduated from East Hartford High School in 1965 and joined the USMC in 1966 through 1968. Joseph went on to pursue higher education, earning his Ph.D. and made his career as an educator teaching History and retired from El Camino Real High School.

Joseph loved golf and music, especially The Beatles and Bob Dylan. He also enjoyed watching classic movies, television shows about history, telling stories and talking politics.

Joseph was proud of his Irish and Italian heritage.  He was one of four children born to Arthur, Sr. and Domenica (Celeo) Healey. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his older brother Arthur, Jr.

Joseph is survived and will be greatly missed by his daughter, Kristin Healey along with son and daughter in law Robert and Holly Coons. Joseph also leaves his grandchildren, Skylar, Kylie and Scarlett. In addition, he will be missed by his surviving siblings, Cynthia Healey and James and his wife Debra Healey as well as many loving relatives, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
