Joseph John (Joe) Fitzgerald, passed away September 5, 2023

Joseph was born on August 31, 1960 to [Ralph Fitzgerald and the late Ann E Fitzgerald (Young) in Milwaukee, WI. 

To anyone who knew Joe, they knew he was a baker. Joe was a baker starting in high school working at Dunkin Donuts in Wheaton Illinois. He made it his life’s vocation. Joe owned Dougan’s Bakery on Oakland Ave in Milwaukee from 1988 to 1993. He also owned Harvest Moon Bakery in Cedarburg in the late 90s. Joe was very proud of his baking skills.

Joe is survived by his beloved Wife of 40 years, Sandra (Wangert), Sons Geffen Fitzgerald and Arlis Fitzgerald. Step Children Ian Wangert and Kelsey Lewis (Keith), also Granddaughter Julie and Great Grandchildren. He is further survived by Brother William (Sandra) Fitzgerald, Sister Kathryn (the late Dean Sokol) Fitzgerald, Brother Edward (Andrea) Fitzgerald, and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his Mother, Ann E Fitzgerald (Young) and Sister Kristen Harland (Fitzgerald).

Joseph’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

There will be a funeral service held at  2:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Unitarian Church North, 13800 North Port Washington Road, Mequon, WI 53097.
