Joseph's obituary
Joseph is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela Domino of Kingsville, Texas; one son, William Jason Domino of Kathleen, Georgia; one daughter, Jenna (Michael) White of Morehead City, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Clara Wynn White; two brothers, Carl Domino of Jupiter, Florida and John Domino of Pearland, Texas; one sister, Madeline Domino of Tampa, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends. Both his parents precede him in death.
Joseph was born on December 23, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York to Sam Joseph Domino and Anne Rose Rubino. He served as a 1st Lt. of the U.S. Army from 1968-1971. He earned a BS in Sociology from the University of Southern Mississippi, MA in Sociology from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Georgia. Joseph dedicated 46 years to Texas A&M University Kingsville as a Sociology / Criminology Professor and served as Chair of the Department of Sociology / Psychology for several years. He was passionate about teaching and was very dedicated to his students.
Joseph met Pamela during their time at Stephen F. Austin and were married in 1974. He was a devoted husband often referring to his wife as “his angel.” Together they enjoyed raising two beautiful children and traveling throughout the country. During his spare time, Joseph enjoyed hunting and fishing with wonderful friends and restoring Model A cars.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:00am at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel located at 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joseph’s life. A donation can be made in Joseph’s honor to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF).
