Alpha Warrior men’s breakfast. I love this photo, shared by Tracy Markum. I loved watching Chris allow the Lord to mold him into the incredible man we love. He left a mark on everyone he met.

Chris, my friend,

I will miss you being here on this earth.

I am so glad that the friendship that started in Iraq never faded and that we maintained contact throughout the years; you were a unique and faithful friend.

Love your friend Al

This great man never met a st…
This great man never met a stranger, and always had time help anyone, with a smile. He played professional baseball for 9 years as a catcher, drafted out of high school. He continued to share his passion for and talent with baseball to anyone who wanted to learn. He was the personification of discipline, excellence and the highest moral standard. He loved to be with his family, literally caring for his mother near full-time in last years of her life. I remember the joy he expressed when we golfed with late his Father, Joe Holmes, and his brother Greg. I remember the smile on his face when he talked about baseball when visiting about my sons baseball journey. It was inspiring to see how he cared for his daughter Cami, and actually fun to see how he cared for Alona. He is a great man, and will continue to live by the memories we share about him, and in our hearts. Chris, you will be missed here my friend! Enjoy your time with your Dad, Mom & Mitch! When we meet again, I expect 6 strokes aside and not playing from the silver tees, the next time we play with your Dad! Y’all will be getting way more golf in then me! Love you brother!

Chris was a mountain of a man ~~ with a tender heart.  I enjoyed the great outdoors with Chris, and loved talking about the future of Alpha Warrior with him.  His life touched many, and his fingerprints are on so many young people’s lives!!  His impact will be felt for generations!  Dia and I will miss him deeply.
There’s so many memories and stories to share about Uncle Chris. One that I’ll never forget is when Chris locked Dani and I outside in the snow in our pajamas one day. Obviously it wasn’t for long. He tried to get us to lick icicles and whatnot. Instead we started a snowball fight. It was amazing. He taught me so much including how to conquer my fears. I was too small to do much in rodeos but I wanted to be like him so bad and wrestle steers or ride bulls. So he signed me up for mutton bustin. I had so much fun learning how to ride the sheep. I was so excited to travel to rodeos with him and compete. Or the time he took my sisters and I to a church where the worlds strongest men were teaching and doing a show. He introduced us to Hulk Hogen. We had so much fun with Uncle Chris all the time. I will always cherish the memories we shared. The love and memories we shared will never die. Fly high Uncle Chris!
