Jonathan’s friendship made such an impact on my life. What a genuine guy! We shared a lot of laughs, tears and music 🎶 I was able to know the real him, and I’m truly honored to have called him a friend. He spent some time with Blake and I over the fall in Chicago.. and I will treasure the songs we opened and the memories we made!! He joins several of my friends in heaven, that have gone too soon💔 and I KNOW I will see him again 😇 My heart aches for the beautiful kids he’s left behind and I pray for them to know how much they meant to him. Until we meet again, my friend!

Although I never had the privilege of meeting Jonathan in person, I am SO blessed and honored to sing with amazing vocalist, influencer and encourager on Smule or better known as my Smule Idol - you had a way of connecting with so many on Smule, never judging, always encouraging us, everyone wanted to sing with you my friend because of your spirit, how you took the time to listen to so many among your own busy life...thank you. You will be SO missed and I am gonna miss you on smule.  Oh how I wish I could sing with you just one more time 😭My prayers and thoughts go out to your beautiful wife & children ..today you are singing with the Angels 😇  my friend - never forgotten ❤️ Felicia

May the love of our Heavenly Father shield, protect, and nurture every one of Jonathan's children in his absence. Jonathan will always be fondly remembered.
Our condolences to the family.  We remember Jon when he played basketball with our son Derrick Curts at GCS.  RIP Jon

I met Jonathan about 6 months ago and we connected almost immediately. I always admired his fearless honesty in sharing areas of brokenness and struggles in his life, he had a unique ability to make you feel like your messiness was a beautiful part of who you were and a pivotal part of your story; there was no shame, judgment or condemnation...just love, understanding and grace.  It seems like every little thing reminds me of him now. The passenger seat in my car that had to be as far back as possible to fit his 6'5 frame, which always made me giggle; the McAlister's Deli down the road...which ended up being the last place we ate together; the giant jar of pickles I couldn't ever keep full if he was around; how often he would suddenly burst into song out of nowhere; how often he would fall asleep in a movie theater and try to act like he hadn't.....it's a million memories from a million little moments that both make me smile and make my heart hurt. He will forever be missed and so many things will never be the same without him.

So shocked and sad that my friend from Smule is gone. I learned so many songs from Jonathan, he was always so cheerful, kind and supporting. I was a great admirer of his singing talent. I will miss him. Although we never met in person, he felt like a friend. My condolences to family and friends, a good hearted person is gone.
