I found out about this yesterday.. I am truly so sorry for your loss Criswell family! May you find peace and strength for comfort in the days ahead❤️

I hadn’t talked to John in a long time, but the news of his passing is heartbreaking to me. I figured I’d share a funny story that pops out to me, I hope others enjoy this funny story about John.

John and I knew each other since we were kids, we played football together for many years. My favorite “era” of knowing and hanging out with John was when we both were working for UTI after high school, i believe it was in 2012. We often had to wait around in the truck or flag together as a team. Sometimes we were asked to do a task with little to no direction and we had to wing it. I remember John was driving the work truck and we had to turn the work truck around and he backed into the grass, we had no idea that it was muddy as it was! So we ended up getting the truck stuck! He whipped his head around and said “don’t tell my dad about this!!” I just giggled and reassured him the secret was safe! We are trying to drive it out and see if we can get it out the easy way, all the while we are being called to hurry up with said task, so then we start scrambling to get the truck out. It took us a good while, and we both got extremely muddy, taking turns trying to push the truck out 😅. The funny thing is that this kind of thing wasn’t all that uncommon for us. We ended up getting the truck out, I don’t think it was a secret by the time we returned to the crew, covered in mud and late, that we were stuck.

I miss how simple it was back then and I will always have fond memories of John, especially during that year! My heart goes out to his family.

John was my friend and quarterback in football from elementary school all the way through high school. I pray his family finds peace during this time of mourning. You are missed, John.
