John "Johnny" William Shira lll, 73, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on February 20, 2024 after a lifelong battle with addiction. 

John was born on September 11th 2024 to Jack jr and a Janet Shira in Ravenna Ohio. After graduating from Arcadia in1968, he went on to study business at ASU. After graduation, he broke into the restaurant industry and held on with a passion. In 1978 he met Kim and they wed in 1979, going on to have 13 years of marriage and one daughter named Kendall Rae. John was a force of nature, determined to live by his own rules. His mother and daughter meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Kendall and did everything in his power to support and nurture her passions as she grew. John was also a passionate car enthusiast and could often be found tinkering when he was at home.


Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most knowledgeable “go to” father and friend a family could ask for. John was predeceased by many including his mother Janet Elizabeth in 2015. He is survived by his only daughter Kendall Rae Shira. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 3751 E Shangri la road phoenix Az 85028.  There will be a celebration of life March 17th 11:30-2:30pm at the original hamburger works.
