John Stanley Sather, a remarkable man of unwavering love, wisdom, and generosity, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in southeastern Minnesota in 1940, John's family moved to Salem, Oregon, in 1948, where he spent his childhood and school years.
His parents, Edith Sather and Alf Sather, were both school teachers who instilled in him a love of learning. Family …
