John was married to the love of his life, Ali ( Alice) Earp Mattingly for 49 years. Together they raised one child, who gave them four grandchildren.
In 1975, John started his own business John L. Mattingly Construction Co.,Inc., after 36 years in the business he retired. During retirement he enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. John enjoyed traveling, was a avid outdoorsman, hunting, riding motorcycles, …
