Papa J's obituary

John Alexander Keith, born in Pontiac, Michigan, on September 29th, 1961, would tell you that everything that happened throughout his life was a blessing. It didn’t matter if it was his M.S. diagnosis, which he said allowed him the opportunity to be a stay-at-home dad and spend more time with his kids, or getting diagnosed with cancer in his nose, which he said was that catalyst to allow him to quit smoking. No matter what the situation was, positive or negative, he always thanked God for his blessings, and faithfully believed that everything was according to God’s plan. John loved God, his family, serving others, woodworking/carpentry, and golf. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his 8 grandchildren, and loved doing whatever he could to hear the sweet sounds of their laughter. He lived a life of servitude for anyone who needed anything. He opened his home to a family of strangers, who had no home, and volunteered on mission trips to build homes for those who had nothing. It often brought him joy to have the knowledge and experience to help his family and friends fix their homes, their cars, and sometimes even their broken hearts. He was a carpenter, chef, coach, comedian, counselor, electrician, gardener, golf instructor, handyman, inventor/innovator, mechanic, prayer partner, and so much more. He was the best earthly example of how to selflessly show God’s love to each and every person who was blessed enough to have met him.

John Alexander Keith has been blessed with his eternal wings to watch over and protect:

Cynthia (wife), Alex and Isaac (sons), Tari and Samantha Jo (daughters), Kayli Jo, Kenneth, Faith, Aaron, Annabelle Jo, Michael, Naomi, and Matthius (grandchildren), Scott, Christopher, Thomas, Robert, Paul, and Eddie (brothers), Deborah, Sherry, Cindy, Mary Jo, and Anne (sisters), Mary and Patricia (mothers), countless nieces and nephews, and many others whom he dearly loved.

He now joins Ian (father), Jeanine and Lillian (sisters), and too many others whom we have lost too soon.
