John J. Howarth Jr. , 75, of Temecula CA, formerly of Monessen, PA, passed away on Monday July 26, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
Beloved husband of 43 years to Carol Yanachik Howarth, John is also survived by his children, Sherry Williams of Mt. Lebanon, PA, Cathy Sibert of Donora, PA, Cody Howarth of Temecula, CA and Cameron Howarth also of Temecula, CA, one sister, Karen Ditta of Canonsburg, PA, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Vernice Howarth Sr, and a brother, Harry Howarth, all of Monessen, PA.
John served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and did several tours of duty in Vietnam after graduating from Monessen High School. He retired from U.S. Steel Clariton Works where he worked for many years.
John was a true family man and loved to camp, fish and spend time with his wife and children.
A service with full military honors was held at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at Riverside National Cemetery in California.
