Personal note from John's eldest granddaughter, Jordan

My grandfather John was a very caring man. he was also a bit of a hard head and could aggravate you even at the best of times. But most of all he was a big loveable teddy bear. All my memories of him revolved around watching WWE, John Wayne movies, Riding in his semi and eating tootsie rolls. He was a lover of animal's and it's safe to say all his children and grandchildren inherited this trait. Just as he was a helper of the animal kingdom he was of humanity. He did not know a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to help you. He was an intimating man, standing 6'6 almost 300lbs and never wearing a shirt, but one look in his eyes and you could see the kindness leaking out of his soul. My grandfather was a fighter up into the end when he lost a near fourteen year fight with COPD. As saddened as we are to lose this man from our, life we take great solace to know that he is finally able to live with out pain. I appreciate everyone for taking the time to read about my grandfather.
