I love Mr. Goodreau very much. He had a way of recounting a story where my Dad left Danielle and I at a gas station and - Mr. Goodreau believed the kids side of the tale and gave my Dad heck - appropriately so. He usually told that story every year at our Christmas Eve party, to anyone who would listen. I missed that story this year. I missed his Christmas hat. He and I had a conversation once, about his Danielle. And it will be with me in my heart forever. He loved deeply, that I know. He was very proud of all of his children and grandchildren. He had a gracious way of including my Father in conversations during my Dad’s dementia and holding space for Dad to remember things - and I’ll never forget that either. Thank you Mr. Goodreau for being a fixture in my world.

John, thank you for your confidence in me at Xerox. You hired me off the street in Columbus, fresh out of college. You taught me the best lesson when I messed up, which I have carried with me throughout my life. Integrity was everything to you, John. Also, your love of those dang Michigan Wolverines. You always had a quip about Ohio State, which I loved bantering with you about. You brought joy to my life. Betsy was such a strong supporter of yours....Betsy, I send my utmost sympathy and condolences. With my most fond regards, Mary

I will miss John and our couple’s dinner group, OSU-Michigan football parties, group travels abroad, impromptu dinners, parties at the Montgomery’s, good conversations, etc. He is now in heaven with Gerry, BBQ friend and chef.

There will never be anyone like John. He brought so many smiles, laughs and positivity to my life. He had such a big personality and had a lasting effect on so many people. I am heartbroken for his family and friends. (Whom he loved tremendously.). His light will always shine and he will never be forgotten.

Worked with John at Xerox--he was in Richmond and I was in Washington. A man who was respected by his peers and his customers. May he rest in peace.
