Mr. John W. Carpenter, age 67, of Uvalda, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of the Gray’s Landing Community, and lived in Toombs and Montgomery Counties all of his life. He was a self-employed truck driver most of his life, and was a former Montgomery County Commissioner and was currently serving on the Uvalda City Council. He was a member of …
