My deepest condolences to Austin, Taylor, Kimberly, Steve, and the entire Brock family for the tragic loss of John. John was one of a kind and is dearly missed. He was one the first people I met when I transferred into Dover High. He welcomed me with open arms and made me feel right at home. We then developed an extremely strong friendship. John was the guiding light for many of my adventures in high school, whether it was performing on stage, making movies, writing songs, playing football, or just sitting around the Brock house with Steve telling stories and jokes. Everything was more fun and more exciting with John. John was always quick with a laugh and sarcastic comment, making those around him laugh. He had the unique quality to make everyone feel important and welcome. His positive attitude naturally drew people to him. He also had one of the most insightful minds I have come across and would question things, causing you to think deeply on important topics. Nothing was more important to John than his family and friends. I consider myself very fortunate to have known him and to call him my friend. He made the lives of everyone he met better. The world is a sadder place without him. I wish the entire Brock family strength during this difficult time.

I had a great childhood friendship with John which continued into our adulthood.  Along the way, we engaged in countless hours of fishing and political discussions.  His good nature and sense of humor will be truly missed.

Most heartfelt condolences to Steve, Austin, Taylor, Kimberly and the rest of the Brock family.  Like you, I think of John as the kindest of persons. A great friend and fun to be around. My heart always aches when I think of the kindness that John, Steve and his wonderful parents showed so long ago. I think of those days often. As I do of John and Steve and the fun we had together. If you are looking for the heart and soul of America, think of John and Steve and the Brock family. Although it will be sad to think about John at first, when I stop and consider the memories, his laugh, his original mind and what fun it was to be around him, I will always end up smiling.

Again, my sincerest condolences to Steve, Austin, Taylor and Kimberly and the rest of the Brock family at this saddest of times.
