John Michael Boyd, 64, of Dawes Street, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born at the former Westover Airforce Base Hospital in Chicopee, on February 10, 1957, the son of Virginia L. Boyd, John remained a lifelong resident of Springfield, graduating in 1977 from the Roger L. Putnam Technical Academy where he was a basketball team member and team manager.
