We met JB as season ticket holders for Springfield Armor basketball. We loved his spirit and sense of humor. He was the glue that held Section Lower 7 together for five years! One of our favorite times was when he brought out his Three Blind Mice poster to skewer the referees! We would all wear big sunglasses to mock the refs as well. No matter how John felt he was always leading the way!! We will never forget him.
I met John boy when I was in third grade when lived on Dawes St.He always was the caretaker for all of us kids being hardheaded after school. He loved sports so much.I send my sincere condolences. bless the family during their loss He's in a better safer place.Amen

John Boyd and I met in Kindergaten! Mrs. Harrell was our teacher. Mrs. Davis was our second grade teacher! Lol John and really clicked when were in second grade and remained very close friends ever since. Although I am feeling devastated and hurt by his sudden passing. I have good memories to cherish of John and I as well as all the other neighborhood kids on Bowles Street who John was very close with! Of course now we are all grown now! Lol His memory and his spirit will continue to live within me and them forever. I will miss my conversations with John on Facebook since moving here to Las Vegas. Sending sincere condolences to all of John’s family from me and all my family the Kynard’s .. and all of Bowles Street friends! John was loved by us all. I will keep you all in my prayers for our God to give you all strength to endure the loss of a brother, an uncle, and a very dear friend who will be missed by us all.

John was my husband’s best man in our wedding nearly 18 yrs ago. We are shocked and heartbroken to hear of his passing. John always had a kind, jovial spirit and a genuine willingness to help others... He will be missed. R.I.P. John. ❤️

John didn't have a car at the time,, we took a bus trip to the City and spent the day hanging around, sightseeing, eating.....I believe we ate at Roscoe Chicken N Waffles and that was my first time there. John, you were always happy and friendly and fun.
