I met with John in 1991 when Dohrmann Instruments were purchased by The parent company of Emerson Electric who purchased Tekmar Co, to now co-owned and named from the then on Tekmar-Dohrmann Company. We hit if off immediately together to become the best of friends! He, as I grew up in Chicago. My Father was a police officer in Chicago, and his Father a Fireman in Chicago. John was a manufacturer's Rep for these companies, and I became Regional Manager managing the central and southern states, which included Texas, the state that my Father was born and raised. And we were so kindred spirits together, and now, as Carol and John lost there son years ago, and, my youngest son Rob at 51 died of cancer this last St Patrick's Day  because of cancer.  It was a very fitting day that the Lord took him that day because, Pat, my wife of 64 years, and my side of the family are both of Irish Heritage.  Carol and John suffered on the loss of their son so much, and now I can appreciate more and empathize their loss, because Pat and I feel this pain and loss. I believe that they all are in their heavenly reward now, and laughing and enjoying for now and forever an ever lasting friendship. Frank Gallagher and I were so hoping to visit Carol and John this year because of John's failing health, but because of failing health with my Pat, and myself as well were not able to come to share our latest and news, and tell true and embellished stories that do when they get together.

John, I miss you my brother, I love you,  and mourn your loss..........and so sorry we were unable to come to see you.... Fair winds and calm seas my John, when we meet again..

Love,

Michael,  Mick Sloan
