John was my across the street neighbor and friend.

We moved into Long Island about the same time (1973) he from Brooklyn me fro queens.

We went to HS together played handball, started the the AA painters and painted houses one summer.

We worked at Prudential together and did so many things guy friends do.

John will be missed greatly by me, the last time I saw him was March of 2019 when I surprised him with a visit to his office in massapequa. I asked where he was spiritually, he was taken a back by my question ( I didn’t know he was dying and he didn’t share he had cancer) I told him that Jesus lived him and that I found the Lord. He kept saying I’m glad you found something ... I’m glad you found something.

My hope and prayer is that John accepted Jesus Christ as well , for if he did he is with Him now.

Farewell my friend life goes quickly here.

John, you will truly be missed. I looked at you as my friend not just a cousin through marriage.
Rest In Peace,
Bruce
John was such an amazing person. Every time we bumped into each other at the dance studio events he always said hello with a big smile and a bigger hug!!! Great dancer as well. John will be greatly missed.

Forever my best friend
Sorry for the families loss!
Always in my heart!
I have known John for many years, he was a dear friend of my father John, as well.
After my father had passed I ran into John at the church. We became very close making meetings together and going shopping together ! I helped him in any way I could . Mostly we helped keep eachother strong !
I was there when his dad had passed and I will miss him very much !
My prayers and condolences for the family !!
My heart goes out to you Sabina as well as to the remainder of John’s surviving family... I was John’s friend from his days in high school. I was saddened to hear of his ongoing and exasperated trials in life ultimately leading to his passing.

Often it is the most intelligent and sensitive people that wind up struggling with addiction. I know first-hand how the attempt to help ourselves through self-medication serves only to further debilitate and enslave.

My love and prayer goes out to all feeling the pain and sorrow of the loss of John.

God Strengthen & Bless You!

Well what can I say I go back with John since I was 5yrs old and have videos to back it up.my sister Paulette started to go out with John in the 70s and ran through the early 80s although John didn’t become my brother in law by marriage he became like a brother to me.We always managed to stay in touch over the next 40+years I remember when a John used to take me to his aunts house almost every Saturday mornings for breakfast in the basement.25ave before going to play paddle ball in Cavalero JH school.John would stay in touch and he always managed to visit us either my house or paulette house he even came to family functions for us he was always there at the right time he would just show up randomly and always felt normal I think I took a lot of Johns traits and now I see a lot of John in my son.when John used to call me his message was always the same it went like this Bumbum(my nick name) WHAT THE MATTER WITH YOU BOY (the song lyrics miss you Rolling Stones)We always made it a point to visit his favorite place spumoni gardens for some squares (pizza) there is so much I can say Idolized him with dress up or the dancing and his joking ways .I will say I felt very grateful to see him the night before Christmas Eve Paulette and I went up about 10 pm we were looking for his room then he spotted us in the hall way he was so happy to see us we listen to music and talk and still he showed a great sense of humor and although it was hard to see him this way we got to tell each other we love you he had tears in his eyes we thought we might be able to see him again but that didn’t happen my heart goes out to his family I know it wasn’t easy road and yes joe and Jeff you guys always felt like brothers too we all know he is in a better place the one thing I found amazing is when the guitar player started to play the song at his bedside running on empty (Jackson brown) listen to the lyrics that’s Johnnyboy life. Now I say to you Johnnyboy I will MISS YOU ps. Just two Puerto Rican girls just dying to meet you up there in haven!!🙏❤️
