My prayers and condolences for the family of Mr. Acton. I had the pleasure of caring for Mr. Acton while he was in the hospital getting a procedure in Radiology. His personality was so uplifting even in his weakened condition. God put it on my heart to remember John today and I will continue to keep him in my prayers.

John was always there for anyone who needed him. I remember gatherings of friends and family when my kids were very young and going out felt a bit intimidating. John would help with the kids, help clean up, and do anything that needed to be done so that we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

I called him within the last year for work advice. One of my clients was dealing with something that he had just handled. When he answered, I knew something was really wrong, but he insisted he was ok and good to talk. Even when he was suffering the way he was, he was still more focused on helping others than on himself. He is an inspiration, and he will be dearly missed by so many people.

I had the privilege in meeting John and his family through my Dad. He and my Dad were great friends while residing in RI. I remember standing next to him feeling so small  next to this big guy that had a great sense of humor and a contagious smile.  He and his family are such amazing people. Certainly a great loss to so many lives he touched in one way or another.  Rest easy John💙

I always felt and thought of John as a brother. He is one of the smartest people I've ever met. As I got to know him over time I was always thankful for having met him. I'm so sorry for his loss and I know it will leave a big hole in the lives of so many people.

Rest in peace John, you will be missed brother

I met John when he started working for Palm Beach County in 2015. He made immediate impacts in our asset management department and was very influential to the direction of the utility. John will be greatly missed by many. Thanks for you leadership. My deepest condolences to the family he leaves behind.
