Federico Joel Garza passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 18, 1973 to Federico and Elizabeth Garza. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1992. Joel was preceded in death by his grandparents: Federico and Juanita Garza; grandparents: Israel and Graciela Flores. Joel is survived by his parents: Federico and Elizabeth Garza, his siblings Jacob Garza and Laura Melissa Castro, his nephews Jacob Anthony Garza, Jose Castro and Jonathan Garza, his niece Jasmin Garza, and his sister and brother in law Dora A. Garza and Juan Castro. He also has a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved and cared for him deeply.

The family will receive family and friends for visitation on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and a Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
