Joe's obituary

Henry Joseph (Joe) Reed, age 86 of Littleton, Colorado passed away on April 14, 2022 after complications following a gallbladder surgery and a lengthy battle with dementia. He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Joe is survived by his daughter Michelle Perski, grandsons Danny Perski and Michael Perski, brother-in-law Richard Rutkowski and niece Sharon Rutkowski. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Arlene Reed and his mother, Bobbie Baron.

Joe was a patriotic man, proud to have served 8 years honorably in the U.S. Navy from March, 1958 to June 1966 having achieved the rank of Petty Officer First Class. He worked the last 28 years of his career at Ohio Medical in Gurnee, Illinois until he finally retired at age 82 and moved to Littleton, Colorado. Joe’s gift for connecting with people and making friends allowed him to settle in quickly to his new home and enjoy his final four years surrounded daily by wonderful people. He will be remembered for his authenticity, generosity, and his wit & sense of humor.

A special thank you to all of the comforting people at The Denver Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days. In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Denver Hospice https://thedenverhospice.org/… would be greatly appreciated.

To honor his wishes, there will be no funeral service. I invite you to please privately celebrate Joe’s memory in your own ways. I know that he will be with us all in spirit.
