I just learned of Joe's passing. He was a genuinely kind man with a positive outlook on life. He was always smiling and I am grateful to have worked with him for many years. He will be dearly missed by the many he impacted, both personally and professionally.
Happy birthday Joe! Forever in my heart...whenever I play golf I think of Joe...especially when Joe Noel and I beat Joe P and Lindsay in a 9 hole playoff..Joe was so mad he lost lol but a gracious lover and an extraordinary human being!! RIP Joe P!!
I miss your smile. I miss your voice. I miss my friend. I knew when I first met you 20 years ago you would forever be the “ little brother” I never had. I struggle daily trying to wrap my head around why such a beautiful , fun loving , man would be taken away from his family, his wife, his friends so suddenly. This world would be a much better place If we had more people like you in this world. A piece of my heart will never be the same. I miss you Joe ❤️
Joe was the nicest person you would ever want to meet-always upbeat, always a smile. The way he lived his life is a legacy we should all strive for. What a great void he will leave in his family, Laurie, the Honeywell community.

Eulogy to my Friend Joe Poblete....you will forever be in my heart my friend!

Sincere Condolences to Laurie, Mrs Poblete, Jen, Family, Friends and Colleagues who are gathered here this morning to remember the life of our Joe!

Today, I am not going to speak in the past tense. I am going to speak in the present tense. Joe's presence is here with us all today, in our heart and in our soul. Can you all feel that presence, it is a beautiful feeling.

The HBEN, Honeywell Black Engineering Golf Tournament is a Bi-Annual Event. For the past several years, the "Gang of Four" would play together as a foursome in every tournament with the high and lofty expectation of winning it. Joe always announced that expectation of winning it, Joe always announced that expectation and challenge to every team. The "Gang of Four" consisted of Joe (Team Captain), Scott Thomas, Tai Le, and myself. Albeit, that Joe always wanted to win, he took losing very graciously and that actually happened on one occasion believe it or not, Joe was in disbelief, but he proudly displayed the scorecard as a trophy in his office.

Joe always walked up to the first tee with his $400 dollar driver. I know his golf game, and would tell Joe, put the driver back into your golf bag and use your $5 dolla three wood that you bought at a garage sale. Joe being Joe, would tee off with the driver and would snap hook the golf ball high into the trees on the left fairway...needless to say accompanied with a few choice words. The driver would never appear again. Teeing off with the $5 dolla three wood, Joe would put "both cheeks" into driving the golf ball true and straight, 280 yards down the fairway every time.

Always being an optimist with a high expectation, when the team was 50 yards from the green, Joe would lead the charge with announcing "Chip and a Putt Boys!", "Chip and a Putt!" I would quietly think to myself Joe, you are nuts......!

A "Chip and a Putt!", this phrase perfectly describes how Joe treats life! No matter how difficult the daily task is, Joe tackled it head on and accomplished the task with "one Chip, and one Putt!" This friends is a gift that Joe has, and an inspiration to all of us.

Joe interviewed and hired me at Honeywell 15 years ago, and since that special day, he has been a true colleague, manager and best friend, a best friend to all of us gathered here today.

The past year has been the most difficult year for my family to bare. Under tragic circumstances, I lost a loving wife and soul mate of 30 years, my family lost a mother and grandmother. In my darkest moment in Cardiff, Wales, Joe was the first person outside of my immediate family in Tampa who I called and talked to. His compassion and loving support during that phone call I shall always remember and cherish. His continued loving support and true friendship helped my family and I recover from the deep abyss of grief that we had been submerged in. Today, I not only talk on behalf of myself, but everyone gathered here that the Poblete family shall never be on their own, we are all here for you.

I shall now end with the following words of comfort:

"I did my best to notice...
When the call came down the line...
Up to the platform of surrender...
You were broad and you were kind...
Sometimes we get nervous, when we see an open door...
We close our eyes, we clear our heart...
We now must cut the cord...
Are we Human, or are we Dancer...
Our sign is vital, our hands are cold...
We are now on our knees, looking to God for an answer...
Are We Human, or Are We Dancer..."

A Scottish Gaelic Verse of Remembrance my friend:

Tapadh Leibh Mo Sheann Charaid...
(Thank You My Old Friend)...

Bidh Sinn Uile Gad Ionndrainn...
(We Will All Miss You)...

Caidil Gu Math...
(Sleep Well)...

God Bless Joe Poblete.

This picture was taken many years ago at the annual beach party. So many great memories.
In memory of a man of character, devoted husband and friend. God Bless the Family.

I was working with Joe when he was doing the IFOG training in Phoenix and met Laurie. He lit up like a Christmas tree when he said her name. It was true love. When Laurie was diagnosed, he never faltered. He was always strong and always had a smile no matter what was happening. I will miss hearing him call me "Mom" every time he saw me in the hallway or at any event. When Joe was first learning to use the 3D printer many years ago he made me a candy dish shaped like an IFOG. It was one of the few things I kept when I retired and I will treasure it always. He was a wonderful person. The world, and certainly Honeywell, were better off for his presence. But God has a plan and I know he is using Joe to do good things.
