Jo was a beloved crew member on the MALASPINA. She always had positive energy and willing to help out with any task and  help any crew member.  Weekly training drills aboard ship are required and Jo willing acted as my teammate in injecting a little humor to keep the crew focused.  I have been retired 14 years and people ask me what I miss. Well, there is a lot I don’t miss- but I certainly miss my shipmate Jo and the energy she brought shipboard for all the crew and passengers. A professional mariner and valued and loved friend to so many. Peace to Jo, family and friends. With respect. Captain Mark
