Jim's obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Mancini, our husband and father, who departed peacefully on December 1, 2025. Born on October 31, 1939, Jim lived a rich, full life, marked by his kindness and generosity.

He was born in Hayward, CA, and raised in San Francisco.

Jim was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, which saw him stationed in Vietnam, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

He shared 46 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Mimi. Together they loved traveling including visiting family in Italy, taking cruises and enjoying trips to Las Vegas. Jim also loved music helping him win Mimi’s heart with concerts to Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.

Jim cherished his time with friends and family, preferably while watching the 49ers win and drinking a Heineken. He also had an insatiable sweet tooth with his favorites including oatmeal cookies, Hot Tamales and (1 or 2 bowls of) ice cream.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Mimi; his children, Kristin & Jamie; grandson, Olin, and brother, John.

Warm and welcoming, Jim enriched the lives of many with his kind and jovial nature. We mourn his passing, but we also celebrate the life he led. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts and he will be deeply missed.

The celebration of Jim's life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 11:30 AM at the Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant. It is an opportunity for friends and family  to come together and memories of the joyful and compassionate spirit that was Jim.
