Jim was a person I always referred to as an honestly kind and caring person. What a fine example of a man. He will be dearly missed

The McDonald family offers our deepest sympathies. Much love and hugs to tour family.

I was so saddened to learn of Jim's passing, my sincere condolences to all of you. My mom and Jim were first cousins. A couple of years ago I was able to reconnect with Jim, and send him an old painting I had that was originally painted by his Uncle CT. It was wonderful having correspondence back and forth with him then. An excerpt (Jim's words): "Your mom was absolutely one of the most wonderful and favorite people in my life. One memory that sticks out was when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I begged Aunt Helen if I could spend the night at her house. Linda was about 16. Before Uncle Harold remodeled it, their old house was a small two-bedroom, so I would have to sleep with my cousin. I’m sure she wasn’t super excited about it, you could tell. She was always so sweet and encouraging to me! I slept like a baby—don’t know if she slept at all!! "

My brother and I grew up with Jim in Alamogordo. Have many memories through the years. Our parents were close friends as well. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family during this time.

So sorry, I have many great memories of Jim. He was a good guy and a good friend to all who knew him. God Bless.
Just now finding out about Jim!  I'm shocked.  Jim was a bandmate of mine after high school and I was always impressed with how gracious and generous he was - long suffering too!  He will be missed sorely.  Our lives were richer for knowing him!  Condolences to the family for sure.
