Jim's obituary

Harry James “Jim” Hightower

Surrounded by family, Jim passed away on March 20, 2022. He was 71. Jim was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Leroy and Cecilia Hightower. Jim enjoyed a 60-year career in the food and beverage business, spending his last 27 years with Domino’s. In his second year with Domino’s, Jim was proud to be awarded the national “Rookie Manager of the Year” award. He touched many lives during his career and loved the opportunity to train and influence those around him.

In 2003, Jim married Melissa “Missy” Hightower. It was Domino’s that brought them together, and together they ran their N. Idaho company. Jim was very involved in community activities and donated much of his time to non-profits. He also served on the school board and Crimestoppers in several states.

Jim and Missy were a blended family and between them were blessed with 8 children and 16 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Missy of Coeur d’Alene; his son Rhett (Alexis) Hightower and daughters Olivia (Whitney) Hightower-Stoffel and Temple Hightower; his stepchildren Matt (Tamra) Clair, Charlie (Mandy) Clair, Ben (Malynda) Clair, Julie (Steve) Yurkovic, and Jake Clair; 16 grandchildren; his sister Cecilia (Jim) Andrew and brother J.R. Hightower.

A celebration of life will be held on May 21 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Coeur d’Alene Resort. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Jim.
