Personal note from Jill's Family

Today we reflect on our third year without Jill. This grief year has been filled with painful growth, beautiful memories, and peaceful understandings. While Jill may not be here physically, her spirit and art is everywhere. We’d like to share a few highlights in hope that it brings peace and comfort to others.

Thanks to your generous donations, Jill’s art is being cataloged on Jilljeannidesart.com.
Check it out, and more pieces will be posted in the next few months. Art showcases will be taking place in the future with plans to display her Chicago and Ukrainian collection, so stay tuned. In addition to building Jill’s Legacy art site, her paintings: Port Authority & Interchange, as well as a drawing of The Port of Long Beach, were all purchased and placed in the headquarters of the largest privately owned drayage company in the US, IMC Companies. Big things are happening for the future of Jill’s art!

Also thanks to donations, a beautiful dedicated bench now resides overlooking the tennis courts at Northcroft Park in Lake Forest, IL. It’s been a wonderful place for us to sit and reflect, and for Jill’s nieces to climb, sit and point at her name while we share stories.

As for Jill’s unused art materials, most were donated to the Marco Island Center for the Arts, a non-profit Jill admired, where they are being used in free workshops for children and elders, and to the Marco Island YMCA for their summer camp program where they serve many underprivileged children.

We also want friends to know, Jill’s loss was accidental. She was healthy and often seen by neighbors doing cartwheels in the sand. She was a woman of faith and prayed daily. She was deeply connected to her grandparent’s Belarus & Ukrainian roots and was teaching herself Ukrainian. She was most recently inspired by Latvian and Slavic music, headdresses, and textile prints as seen her most recent photos. Creativity flowed through her and she was awakened to the highest power - a feeling that still illuminates through her art today.

Thank you all for your love and support. To know Jill is to now have an angel on your shoulder. Please think of her often and smile in her honor.
With Love, Peace & Gratitude,
The Jeannides Family
