I miss my big brother Jerry! We had some very long talks over the years and they became shorter in duration as his health decline. He loved very hard and he loved family and his sibling even more. He always stayed in touch and connected with his little brother even when I was too busy to do so. Months before he passed he called me to say goodbye and to tell me he’s at peace with his life, what he’s done & everything in between. His love for family brought all of our siblings together before Joelee and Joanne passed away. I’ll alway cherish that scarified & act of love, but that was my brother. As long as I live I know he want be forgotten and until that day, RIP. Oh, the most important thing is before Jerry passed he communicated to me often how the Lord was in his life, gave him peace and changed his life immensely. Wow!

My Dearest Cousin Jerry,
To quote a famous song known by all, “Thank you for being a friend.” Our friendship began long ago in a city named Madison. You and I often spoke of that day when I received a telephone call from you claiming to be my cousin. Sorry for hanging up on you. After confirming with my mother that we were indeed cousins, you invited me to your home to meet your family, Mary, Heather, and Rada. I had no idea at the time that we, the four of us, would become very close friends.
There is one think that you taught me Jerry, which I never thanked you for in the importance of family. From watching you through the years, family meant everything to you. Since then, I have opened my heart to other family members and owe it all to you.
Jerry, I will always carry with me the love you, Mary, and I share. I will continue to carry that love with me and the smile we always shared with one another.
Love you always, Maurice
