It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome "Jerry" Modjeski, a beloved figure who left us on June 13, 2025. Born on January 1, 1935, Jerry's journey on earth spanned over nine decades, during which he touched many lives and left an indelible impact. He taught at Irving Elementary in Hammond, Indiana for over thirty years. He was a semi-finalist for 1984 Indiana Teacher of the Year and was awarded Teacher …
