Hi my Pretty Pretty Princess. I’ve been thinking about you so much lately. Memories of our times come back in bits and pieces. I laugh, I get embarrassed- damn you could turn me red, but mostly I cry. I remembered after I chatted with Rebecca that time you, Karen, and I think Cindy and Ann were at the fair at the mall on Steven’s Creek and you belted out “Get Here” by Oleta Adams. You blew me away. I wish American Idol was around then. You would’ve won for sure. Five years. I truly hate we lost touch with each other. My name is Nick and I met Jen when she lived with Katie in San Leandro through Jen’s workmate, Cyndi.

We became fast friends and very tight. I remained friends with her until I moved back to Ohio. We lost touch little by little over the years and we found each other on FB. I was off and on FB over the past 10 years and we hadn’t really talked since late teens in 2000.

I was feeling her today because I dreamt of her last night. I looked her up and found she had passed. I’m gutted. I loved this girl like a sister. I am in complete shock.

I believe Jen and I are the only two people on the planet that absolutely LOVE the color orange! When she visited me at my new house in Aptos she walked right through the house directly to my backyard and placed this adorable orange chicken with daisies on it in my flower bed and it has been there ever since. I met Mason Jar at work! We became friends quickly! We sat across from each other and she was always helpful and friendly! She was funny and witty! She started calling me Magalious and I called her Mason Jar!
I gave her a plaque “Mason Jar” it’s still at work! I hope her family will save it and treasure it! She loved it!!!!

Mason Jar was kind and loving to me ! Iam 74 and she knew that sometimes I need help with a work application and she would help me without making me feel stupid! She would meet me outside on our lunch hr and share funny things and give me a big hug!! The last time I saw her at work she yells Magalious I love you!!! We didn’t have filters so I’ll let you guess the rest of the story!!!!

It has taken me a really long time to come to grips with the fact that Jen isn’t here to take part in these amazingly fun times anymore. It is something I just can’t wrap my head around. I don’t know if I have just been denying it, escaping it, or keeping myself busy not to face it. It is so difficult that I can’t just call her up and tell her something that cracked me up about Cullen or Bruno.

But what I do have is memories. I will remember her being there with us and always laughing about something. She was the greatest friend who you could ALWAYS be yourself around and say whatever it was that was on your mind. And she encouraged it. Jen had the best heart. She loved everyone. She was an encourager. She told me so many times she loved the way I looked at my husband. She constantly told me I was an amazing mom even when I felt like I wasn’t. She reminded me to relax, be free, and skinny dip. She held me when I cried and laughed with me until I peed in my pants.
I will forever miss our walks, our talks, our times at Red Rocks Grill, our camping and vacation trips, and our delicious, absolutely hilarious Friendsgiving dinners. I will miss Jen’s smile, her amazing ability to be there for me and the pure love she had for my “babies.” I know she will always be in our hearts. Her MAC and CG tell me every time they see orange that it is her favorite color. They want to paint their room orange and red...uh, maybe. I know I need to relax and let them be who they will be, right Jen!? Lol. And I will be sure to continue letting them buy fun “chones” and keep the tradition of “backwards dinner” alive and thriving (yes, Becky, she did that in our home as well) and dance in the rain!! Love you and miss you tons Jen! 💕
