Jeffrey's obituary

Jeffrey Wayne Michaelson
                                 August 3, 1956 – August 2, 2025

Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne Michaelson passed away at his home in Graham, Washington on Saturday, August 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, just one day before his 69th birthday.

Born on August 3, 1956, in Tacoma, Washington, Jeff spent part of his early childhood in Florida, where he loved playing in the canals. The family eventually returned to Washington, and Jeff attended Enumclaw schools, where he lettered in track. After high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving as a scout for enemy submarines.

Jeff devoted most of his professional life to the HVAC trade, quickly rising to the top of his field through hard work, precision, and dedication. But it was the outdoors that truly brought him joy—fishing, camping, golfing, working on the land, and scanning the skies for eagles. He had a deep love for nature and always found something to tinker with, he could fix anything.

He took great pride in maintaining his and his wife Heidi’s 20-acre homestead, always staying busy with projects, animals, and adventures. He was known for humming or whistling as he worked, a man always in motion, always tuned into life’s simple joys.

A true Pacific Northwest sports fan, Jeff was fiercely loyal to the Seahawks, Mariners, and Sonics. You could count on him to start the day with SportsCenter and end it yelling at the TV over a bad call. He loved visiting the beach to fly kites, traveling, going to the casino, loved his rock n roll music and watching movies at home, often with a sweet treat nearby.

Jeff is preceded in death by his beloved son Jeramy, his parents Patrick and Peggy, and his brothers Steven and Mark Michaelson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 40 years Heidi; his children: Mandy and husband Jeremy, Erica and husband Tyler, and Elizabeth and husband Graesen; his grandchildren: Kylee, Haylee, Bryson, Callen, and Lukas; his great-granddaughters: Oaklee and Charlee; his brothers: Mike and wife Denise and Rick; and his sisters-in-law, Teresa, Cassie and husband Mike and Dannielle and husband Jeff.He also leaves behind many extended family members and lifelong friends who loved him dearly.

Jeff’s presence lit up every room and he always had a kind word for everyone he came across. He will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and his smile that was as big his hugs. He will be forever missed by all.
