Jeffrey's obituary

Jeffrey “Jeff” D. Lapachinski, 41, of Leominster and Tewksbury died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was born in Greenfield on February 23, 1983, the son of Frank and Terry (O’Connor) Lapachinski.

Jeff attended local schools; Colrain Central School, Mohawk Middle School and was a graduate of Turners Falls High School Class of 2001. He met Kristen in 2012 while working in banking and residing in Reading, MA. They welcomed their son Liam a couple years later, followed by Mikayla and Nora.

His children remember him as a fun loving father always willing to play a game with them and support them in their pursuits. Jeffrey was passionate about gaming and new technology, often indulging in gaming when the kids schedule allowed. He was a generous man who loved history, specifically famous military battles. He was always willing to discuss the tactics. He was the proudest of Dads and looked forward to watching his children take part in activities, whether it be soccer, dance, and karate or school outings.

Jeff is survived by his three children, Liam, Mikayla and Nora Lapachinski and their mother, his partner, Kristen Murphy of Tewksbury; his parents, Frank and Terry Lapachinski of Turners Falls; a brother, Peter Lapachinski and his wife Jesi of Turners Falls; a sister, Jenna Lapachinski and her husband Bryon Keiser of Tunbridge, VT; Kristen’s parents Frederick (Sr.) and Marcia Murphy of Tewksbury; his maternal grandmother, Jeanne O’Connor and his paternal grandmother, Anna Lapachinski, his Great Uncle Louis Socquet, all of Turners Falls; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandfather’s Gerald O’Connor (Bubba) and Frank Lapachinski (Papa).

The family would like to thank the staff at Lahey Hospital for all their care and support. A huge thank you to all the friends and family who supported him and his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 12th from 4-7 at the Tewksbury Rod and Gun Club, Tewksbury, MA.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 15th from 3-6 at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, August 16th at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 90 Seventh Street, Turners Falls. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Turners Falls.
